Prom Night

My nephew Paul had his prom Friday, and boy was he nervous. As always my family makes a big deal when there is a special event and we always manage to make it a celebration. I had pineapple margaritas and cosmos along with bruchetta and shrimp wrapped in bacon and mini chicken sandwiches. I had a full house that night along with having to prepare food I still managed to do hair and makeup on my niece Jazmin, she accompanied Paul to the prom.

It's been awhile, but I am back. Between housestitting and working long hours I didn't have time to really sit down and concentrate on my blog.
Since my last posting.. i have become and aunt again...a great aunt. My nephew had his first son last month on Dec 28th, my fathers birthday. It would of been a nice birthday gift but my father is no longer with us. I was hoping that my nephew would have named him after his name since my nephew was named after my father. But no, he and his wife went with a different name - Jayden Ewan Rose. Although my nephew didn't name his son after him, I am very proud of him. He has accomplished so much in his life than I have. He is 24 has traveled to many countries, went to the naval accademy, received his BA in finance, joined the marines and married his best friend. He's about to be deployed to Iraq, on the 28th, and he's handling very well, unlike his family.
